The health and wellbeing of Sea Islander populations was especially important to Dr. Ida Spruill. She believed at her core that all people deserved respect, justice, and access to quality health care. That’s why her scholarship will go to minority students from rural and underserved areas, who want to go on to serve vulnerable populations.
